I loved the idea of this book, but I was amazed at how glamorious the author made some of the places I know very well. She does give good advice about watering holes & information as to when pets are welcome & when they are not. However, the book just lacked reality of life and socializing a dog. I felt like I had wasted my money on information I already new.

This book was just what I was looking for -- a concise directory of many dog-friendly parks and towns throughout NJ and all compiled by county for easy reference. It contained more entries than I could have even imagined and I'm determined to travel to as many locations as I can!
