| Customer Reviews:
I DON'T THINK THOREAU EITHER LIKED OR KNEW MUCH ABOUT DOGS April 26, 2008 I found this book to be other than I expected. I thought this famous philosopher who wrote Walden Pond, for which he is famous, would have owned and loved many dogs. His oservations are mostly about neighborhood dogs, and usually not particularly sympathetic. Obviously Thoreau was no Albert Payson Terhune, and probably wouldn't have been interested in Lassy or Rin Tin Tin. If you are dog simple like me, pass this one up.
