A "must read" book for dog people. July 10, 1999 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
I ordered this book when a friend of mine lost her 11 year old Golden Retriever. Her daughter was having difficulty accepting the dogs passing, and I was looking for a book to help explain this process to a child. Once I got the book, I found that it was much more than a book on bereavement. The story is truly beautiful and very touching. It can be enjoyed equally by children and adults. I've recommended it to all my "dog" friends and it has been very well received. If you have ever loved a dog, you should read this book.
A beautiful and comforting tribute for dog owners July 9, 1999 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
A friend whose little dog 'Max' was killed by a car was the recipient of this book after I ordered it and read it myself. It is beautifully illustrated and very profound. My friend wrote, "losing my precious Max was like losing my child. I felt like I would never have a dog again but after reading "For Every Dog an Angel" I know now that I need another. She went to the pound the next day and adopted a dog. I will order more just to have on hand for my pet-loving friends.
A Book for every person owned by a dog. June 19, 1999 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book is for every person who has ever been owned by a dog and had to say goodbye. It is a book for those of us who have lost dogs and those who have dogs. It is a wonderful book to help children as well as adults with bereavement over a lost pet. A book that gives you hope.
you cry, feel good and hope that you'll be reunited September 5, 1998 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This little book made me cry because I miss my Mystie so much. It made me feel good because she is my "Forever Dog" and it gave me that term. And it gave me hope that my beloved Mystie and I will be reunited one day. It is a beautiful little book.
