More energy May 30, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We have just started the 8 week program and already we are seeing changes starting. Our dog's hair is softer and has more shine. We found the book very informitive and it is nicely laid out with the 8 week program. That way you do not feel so overwhelmed not knowing what to do first. We will continue the program and hopefully see continued progress. Glad we purchased this book.

I barely have time to cook for my husband and myself, so there's no way I'm going to spend what's left of my free time making chicken stew for my dog...however, having said that, I did find this book to be a wealth of information about the kinds of things that need to be in her diet and the kinds of things that are actually contained in commercial brands of dog food. It prompted me to switch to a premium, organic meat-and-vegetable brand of dog food (sans grains, which I now know to be hard on her digestive system.) Yes, it's more expensive, but she's worth the extra money, and I feel more secure buying her food from a small, independent producer than getting huge sacks of kibble containing God knows what detritus from God knows where.

God Bless Andi Brown! We had an itchy Wheaten terrier with extremely thin hair. After following her diet, the results are amazing! I can hardly say enough about the essential fatty acid recipe! Daisy is so much calmer and really looking great. Thanks again Andi !!

This is a great book. Good solid reasoning and practical suggestions. Good reading for anyone who loves her dog!
Very useful May 14, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
We adopted a rescue dog last July. For months he had terrible diarrhea. We took him to he vet countless times and changed his food trying everything we could to help him. We even made chicken and rice for him and the problem persisted. I found this book at our local library and thought I may as well try one of these recipes. I thought it made perfect sense and at that point I had nothing to lose. Riley's stomach problems immediately cleared up. We make huge batches of the stew now and freeze it. He is now very healthy and his coat is beautiful. I also use the recipes for my cat as well. The book is very informational and I really appreciate knowing the why's behind some of the ingredients used.
