Esential dog for Dog Lovers February 9, 1999 Being a dog lover myself, I have this as a part of my growing libary on dog books. It's a valuable source for identifying breeds, and quotes excellent sources for other books to get.
Good book October 17, 1998 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book was a OK dog book. They have over 400 dog breeds, but they don't tell alot about each dog. For an example one dog may have a HALF of page worth of information - and another dog has two pages worth. To me, that's not very fair. Like I said before, it's an OK dog book.
Necessary for all dog lovers October 11, 1997 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is one of the most well written and informative books on dogs that you can purchase. It includes full color pictures of over four hundred breeds - everything from the Puli to the Poodle, the Ibizan Hound to the Basset Hound. Each breed is complete with a description of size, colors, temperament, and physical characteristics. There are also sections on the history of dogs, general care of dogs, breeding, health, getting a puppy, etc. Dr. Fogle leaves nothing out. If you are a dog owner or simply love dogs, this book is essential to your home library.
Really cool, Real lovely book, I would recommend this book. September 29, 1997 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I think this book is really nice, this can be a guide for people who are looking for that special dog they want. This book has over 400 breeds and it has my favorite breed the Labrador Retriever.
The Dog Book For Those Who Just Want To Know Every Dog April 3, 1997 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is the Coffee table book for every dog owner. Once you guests pick it up they will be lost among the 400breeds illustrated in magnificent color. As a dog owner and breeder for 50 years, I found hundreds of dogs I have never seen before. Rare breeds they may be here in the U.S. but many of them are the result of their need in the countries of their origin. I strongly recommend this beautiful book to any dog lover who wants to round out their knowledge of dogs of the world.
