FINALLY, a book for dog lovers February 27, 1999 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
What a delightful book! If you have little time to read...if you have a dog...if you have a sense of humor...if you fit all these qualifications, read this book. The stories are short, but packed full of humor, warmth and love for our canine friends. Read it while in line shopping. Read it during a TV commercial. Read it in the hammack with your best canine friend. You will love this book.
Recommended reading for ALL dog owners November 5, 1998 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These true stories are very entertainning. Hilariously funny at times, then seroius, and sad at others. Spell binding and very well written. Many nights it was hard to close the book after hours of reading. In addition they provide good tips on how to handle many of the problems we encounter daily with our own dogs. I saw myself and my dogs reflected in many of the situations. I now see my dogs' behavior and mischiefs in a tottaly different light. This book has helped me understand them a lot better, andd enjoy trainning not only to attain well behaved dogs, but to make life more fun and enjoyable for my barking friends. Can't wait to read other books by this author.
An hilarious look at dogs and the people who own them August 24, 1998 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having been involved in the sport of dogs for nearly three decades, I didn't think there was much I hadn't seen or heard. I was wrong! Tails From the Dark Side is a funny, truthful look into the world of dogs and their human companions. It is wonderfully entertaining and will keep the reader laughing as you join the authors in their profession of making life easier and/or more rewarding for dogs and their owners.
A delightful and lighthearted read! August 14, 1998 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Not only did I enjoy reading "Tales From The Bark Side", I also purchased gift copies for many of my friends who, like me, share their lives with canine family members. I found this book to be heartwarming and charming. Interlaced skillfully into each "Tale" the authors have woven the story, the training problem, the humane solution and a bit of their hearts. It is nice to be taken on an "insiders journey" into their world of animal training. "Tales From The Bark Side" is a delightful read.
A People and Dog Book! July 27, 1998 For those individuals who enjoy the blessings of a canine companion, this book showcases those "personal moments" that either we, as dog owners, have experienced or can appreciate. Such a collection of adventures provides humor (as well as a bit of insight) in what can be an all too serious approach to life. Enjoy!
