A Helpful Introduction to the Breed May 7, 2002 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
This book answered all my initial questions about the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with honesty and candor about the ups and downs of Cavalier ownership. I especially liked the sections about genetic predispositions and temperament. The only thing not covered in depth was how expensive these dogs are! However, I still recommend it highly as a first step in information-gathering about the breed.
OK but inadequate August 14, 2000 12 out of 22 found this review helpful
An elemental book that really just scratches the surface. OK for rank curiousity-seekers but not an in-depth book at all. Nothing special here IMO.
Excellent source for beginners! October 31, 1999 25 out of 29 found this review helpful
Wonderfully written, very informative book for beginners considering this breed of dog. I truly appreciated Ms. Colie's cander regarding both good and bad aspects of the breed.
Outstanding Book October 31, 1999 30 out of 31 found this review helpful
Coile's book gives great insight to the Cavalier, what you can expect, behaviors, day-to-day care, and long term treatments. After reading Coile's book and following some suggestions, our new Cavalier has become a wonderful family memeber in less than a week. To anyone who is thinking about adopting a cavalier to somebody who just did, this book is a must read!!!!
Book covers everything the average owner would need to know. October 13, 1999 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
This book covers everything that the average person would need to know about keeping their new puppy and would also interest the novice breeder with some of the finer points of the breed including color genetics. Who could ask for more? A very fine book.
