Product Description
All dog owners know their pooch has star power. Now they can prove it, by teaching Fido these show-stopping feats worthy of the Big Top. Rick Martin—trainer of The Tricky Dogs—offers all the informative guidance needed to transform eager pups into canine dynamos. Geared toward dogs that have already had some solid basic obedience training (sit, down, stay), these applause-gathering acrobatics include such time-tested classics as crawling, standing on the hind legs, spinning around, and jumping through a hoop. And for something really amazing: have Rover ride on a skateboard! (Don’t forget to have your four-legged friend bow to the adoring crowd afterwards.) Throughout, pictures of famous dog performers and colorful circus graphics and images provide inspiration.

Circus Tricks for your Dog October 10, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This book is well organized and helpful. I purchased the book at the same time I purchased 101 Dog Tricks. I found the two books complimented each other. The combination was great. Either book works independently but the combination is really nice.
An exceptionally inviting, different guide. August 9, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Plenty of books cover dog training and a few others cover animal circus performers - but what if Fido could become such a performer? Until now the entertainment of a circus dog has been limited to the big top, but public lending libraries will find pet owners will be excited by the at-home training opportunities reviewed in CIRCUS TRICKS FOR YOUR DOG. From riding a skateboard to riding a rolling barrel and climbing a ladder and jumping, each trick receives step-by-step coverage, from acquiring or building props to enticing a pet to do the right thing. Any who own a dog and dream of better tricks will find CIRCUS TRICKS FOR YOUR DOG: 25 CROWD-PLEASERS THAT WILL MAKE YOUR DOG A STAR will prove an exceptionally inviting, different guide.
