Product Description
Mommy, Daddy, Cassie, and Baby Louie welcome Marley, their new Labrador pup, into their family. But Marley doesn't stay a tiny puppy for long. He grows and grows, and the bigger Marley gets, the bigger trouble he gets into. Big, bad-boy trouble. Whether it's chewing Mommy's reading glasses or swallowing Daddy's paycheck, Marley is a dog like no other. He tries to be a good dog, honest he does, but everything he tries ends up bad. Then one day Marley goes too far. Will this family have to find a new home for their big, crazy, pure-hearted dog? Inspired by John Grogan's bestselling memoir, Marley & Me, this heartwarming story shows that loving someone, flaws and all, can reap huge rewards.

My first exposure to John Grogan and Marley May 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When one of my students insisted I read this book to the class, I admittedly did so with a grain of salt. I mean, how many naughty doggy stories can anyone possibly write? I had never heard of John Grogan and was not at all sure of what to expect. What I read has to be one of the most charming, heartfelt, and hilarious stories ever written to children about a dog. In simplified, child-friendly prose, Grogan tells the story-book version of how he and his family acquired a very bad puppy named Marley. Marley is full of trouble and horendously destructive. But, as we are told, he tried so hard to be good! It has all the right drama (while I'm not sure what is true and what is story) and Grogan has an incredible gift for writing that splashes personality and humor directly into the story. I have fallen in love with a naughty puppy named Marley.
Bad Dog Marley is Hilarious!!! March 26, 2008 Marley is a sweet new Labrador puppy who a nice family has decided to adopt for their children, Cassie and Baby Louie. What they don't know is that Marley just can't seem to get out of trouble. The more and more he grows, the more trouble he gets into. One day Marley makes the big mistake of eating Dad's paycheck, what will he do now? I think this an excellent story. It has humor, great illustrations, and in the end you find out that Marley is a real actual dog. I would definately recommend this book to children, teachers, and parents who want to read aloud to their kids at home. Go and buy it, you won't regret it.
Bad Dog Marley February 27, 2008 I read the adult version and loved it. I am a dog lover but you do not have to be to love this book. My grandchildren love it!!
Great Book for Lab owners December 21, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this book for my daughter for Christmas. We have a yellow lab so it was a perfect gift.
Children's book is not the same as the original! December 19, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just finished reading 'Marley & Me' and I really enjoyed it, although found some parts to be very slow, but all in all, a great dog-lovers book. I bought this book for my friend's 4-year old son, who has a yellow lab and loaned me the original book to read. I was surprised to see that all the characters names were different. But, I think that children (especially those who love dogs, as I do!) will like and appreciate all the antics of a "bad dog".
