| Customer Reviews:
Definitely worth the buy March 15, 2008 I have owned four dogs over the last 20 years. When my beloved 2 year old Weimaraner died suddenly about 9 months ago, I knew I would let my heart heal awhile and then delve back into puppydom again. I never really read any books on working with puppies in the past and with three children, I really wanted to do this right. I have read the book twice and have 4 weeks to "train" my older children (11 & 13) how we are going to approach having a new puppy in the house. The book covers a wide variety of topics and is a very easy read. You don't have to be a vet to read it. It is straight forward and the added quips from the author make me feel like we are having a chat about getting a dog over a cup of coffee. I loved this book and would highly recommend it. If I lived in the U.S. right now, I would hunt this guy down and make him be my vet!
