Joan Embery's book is the best book I have read on training a dog. This book covers it all: picking the right dog for you, puppy-proofing your home, early basic training, advanced training, solving behavior problems, grooming, nutrition, traveling tips, preventive health care, and even first aid.The book is easy to follow even for a beginner. I bought the book when I got my first dog and followed it to the "T". People can not believe how well trained my dog is and ask if I had him professionally trained! This book is a must have for all dog owners!
