English Springer Spaniels- An Owners Manuel April 12, 2008 This book was very beneficial in giving me the info I needed to better prepare for my new puppy. It had breed information as well as a list of essential items I would need now and in the future for maintaining and training my dog.
Casual Information June 18, 2002 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
We purchased this book to get info on the ESS breed and its care as we'd put a deposit on a pup after researching via internet. This book does give a concise abbreviated overview of the breed. For a quick reference it suffices but it falls short of details and specifics. For instance the training section is extremely brief and certainly does not address bringing the pup into your home and beginning an indepth housebreaking routine and training system. This did provide a jumping off point; however if you plan on getting the dog...get a more detail manual.
